Hawaii Community College IEP Fall I Session

From August 6 to 9, new students in the IEP participated in our orientation. After taking the level check, the students met their teachers and current students to get to know them and get good advice from them. They also took a tour of our two campuses and the City of Hilo.

Summer 2008 Graduatio Party!

Hawaii Community College Intensive English Program had the graduation party for Summer 2008 students. The students got the certificate, excellent attendance cetificate, and some other prizes. Our next session, Fall I 2008, is going to start from August 6th. Please let me know if you are interested in studying in Hawaii. The IEP Summer Session

We at the IEP are having a lot of fun. Not only studying English but also we went Hapuna beach for swimming, Honaunau historical park for seeing the anual Hawaiian Festival.

The IEP Spring II Graduation Party!

Hawaii Community College Intensive English Program had the Graduation Party for Spring II students! Not only the students but also some of the former IEP students came to celebrate togather.

We also celebrate Steven's (the IEP assistant coordinator) birthday.

Kodomo No Matsuri - Children's day on the Big Island

Hawaii Community College IEP students volunteered for Kodomo No Matsuri on May 3rd. The IEP boys became superheros and took picture with kids, and the IEP girls played with kids using Japanese toys (Otedama, Darumaotoshi, Taketombo, Kendama, DenDen Daiko and more!).

Weekend trip to Pahoa and Kalapana

Last weekend, we went to Pahoa and Kalapana as the IEP weekend trip. We enjoyed swimming at hot pond and watching lava (ocean entry) from Kalapana area.

The IEP Spring II 2008 Easter Party

Aloha from Hilo, Hawaii! ^_^ We, Hawaii Community College IEP, had the Easter Party last month. We decolated eggs for the egg contest, and had egg fight!
