Aloha Everyone!
Welcome to Hawaii Community College IEP's own blog! My name is Sherri Fujita and I am the coordinator of the IEP. I have a Japanese last name because my husband is Japanese. We met while I was teaching English in Japan.
I lived in Tokyo for almost 14 years! Four years ago, my husband and 2 children and I moved to live in Hawaii. I love living in Hawaii and I especially love living on the Big Island. I think this is a wonderful place to live. When I wake up in the morning, I can see beautiful palm trees from my window. On my way to work I often see a big rainbow. This morning I could see Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa with snow on the top! But in Hilo, I could wear summer clothes.
I have a question for you! Why do you love Hawaii? I would like to hear your thoughts. Please write a comment and tell me what you love about Hawaii. I want to hear from you!
With warmest aloha
Sherri

I love Hawaii because I can go to beach 365 days a year! ^_^
Aloha! I’m Takamasa's mother ;-)
I love Hawaii, especially Big Island because people are very nice, laid-back and relaxing climate.
Also there is Pana’ewa zoo :-D
Aloha Takamasa's mom!!
I agree with you. I like living here because the people are so nice. I like taking my kids to the zoo too. It is fun for all of us. We like to go on Saturday morning because there is a petting zoo.
Bye for now and see you soon
Sherri
